Because what else is there to do? Feel sorry for you and or ourselves? Anyone who purchased one of these cars after 2013 should have done their due diligence and researched the known issues and failures. The rod bearing issues has produced threads since 2009/2010.

I'm not sure what your point is here. I think we can all agree any car should provide a reasonable service life assuming certain usage. To the extent it doesn't the manufacturer should resolve the issue either because it feels it is the right thing to do or because it is legally obligated.
