Once again, the S65 has a
very high volumetric efficiency. It's the same reason why we can bolt-on a supercharger with single-digit boost and add 200 HP+. Another example? The Shelby GT350 has cracked over 1,000 WHP with both a
supercharger and
twin-turbo stock motor bolt-on kit. Why? The Voodoo engine has very high volumetric efficiency.
And the 3076R could do 1,000 WHP, but the turbo probably won't last very long at that boost level. You'd be much better off using a bigger turbo, like that the GT35R, and keeping it right in it's efficiency range, especially if you'd like to run different boost settings (i.e., low-boost for pump gas and high-boost for race gas/ethanol). Add in a well designed, twin-scroll manifold and you probably won't have much "lag" after 4k RPMs.

2-speed power glide and E85 sounds like it's a purpose built, high compression ratio engine that never is run on pump gas. That's not exactly a fair representation of that turbo's performance.
