Do your research and due diligence and pull the trigger based on what makes sense to you, you roll the dice.

Better to buy a high mileage car that was properly maintained and driven than a lower mileage car that has been thrashed and had corners cut in maintenance and repairs. Have a thorough PPI conducted before you decide. That high mileage M3 may have already had a lot of the expensive maintenance performed on it.
