for me ESS 625 kit:
after stop and go traffic (with my 5 gal ice box) I saw 30+ degrees over ambient temps. the longer the drive, the higher the temp increases. this is due to the manifold and the aluminum ice box not being able to deflect heat.

with the oem ess kit (small plastic res.) in stop and go traffic it's about 20 degrees above ambient once other fluids are at operating temps. the cooler the ambient, the longer the intake temps take to get to the 20 degree delta...

ice box- 90 deg ambient, 120+ AIT displayed on P3
ess res.- 90 deg ambient, 110 AIT displayed on P3

I think the only solution is another heat exchanger. my plans are for another heat exchanger with two small fans drawing air.

if you look at the turbo m4s/m3s there are a few heat exchangers....
