First, you will ABSOLUTELY vent all of your refrigerant if you attempt to remove the expansion valve. If you don't safely evacuate your refrigerant before attempting to remove the valve the refrigerant will be discharged explosively due to the system's resting pressure. I highly advise against this approach.
Secondly, you don't need to remove the expansion valve to replace the secondary air valve. You just need a small 1/4" drive ratchet and 10mm socket. Or a box end wrench will work also to loosen the nuts on each valve.
It's cramped but easily doable if you have a slight amount of patience an/or smaller hands.
