A degree of speculation; on the basis that Clevite (the 2008-2010 OEM supplier) currently manufacture "undersized" bearings for BE with sufficient tolerance drift that they can sort out sets that provide OEM clearance.
And on the inconsistency of RB wear seen on 2008-2010 cars.

I did say "maybe".
I know if I was in the market for a critical engine part I would be more concerned about long term reliability through accurate quality control than saving a few $$ in the short term.
