Replace the gas pedal potentiometer, it's part of the gas pedal assembly/module. There are two sensors in that unit for redundancy and if they aren't reading the same +/- a predefined threshold it will trigger limp mode and throw that fault.

279D is not related, but 2796 is as a result of the faulty component. Replace that and you'll be good to go.
