Changed the oil today and added a bottle of liqui moly MOS2. The lovely ticking noise is still there. Drain plug threads on my oil pan are shot (thanks again BMW) so will be replacing the oil pan and doing BE bearings & ARP bolts in 5,000 miles. We shall see if new bearings change the noise
