Yep I've been down to the module Joe, easy enough. But again should the module work - which I'd guess it would - I know myself I'd be wondering about the previous car' mileage impact and not be completely happy.
Now should BMW not be able to move forward when I see them beginning next month, a swap will be relevant in order to continue my own investigation.
