From what I've read, the GT4 sub 3000lbs weight is with the radio/AC delete, carbon ceramics, LWB's, and lithium ion battery. So I think most GT4's are in the 3000-3100 range. But with that said, most M3's are probably in the 3600-3700lbs range as well so your numbers are probably fair. It's funny how relative size and weight is though. The GT4 felt big and heavy when I got mine since my other car is the S2000. You can only imagine how it felt when I went from the M3 to the S2000.

I don't really get the shifter comparison to the S2000 except for both are the best for their era. The GT4 shifter throw is very long and gates are wide compared to the S2K, but a lot more direct and mechanical. The S2K shifter throw is extremely short and the gates are very narrow, but it has a very loose feel to it. I still can't decide which I like better. They are both good in different ways.

You gotta get it on the track. I think that's where the car really shines. Before I got mine on the track I thought it was a good car, but didn't match all the hype. But it's just fantastic on track.
