My repair guy told me that I have two slow leaks on my M3's transmission. He's asking for $2184 to fix the two problems with the transmission.. Problem #1 is that the Transmission Side Pan Gasket (28 60 7 842 856) is leaking. Problem #2 is that the Transmission Pan (28 10 7 842 385) is leaking.
I've been quoted 10 hours plus a whole lot of added materials to fix this.

Should I just try to figure this out myself using some online DIY guide? (I can replace brakes and rotors, but I am definitely not a mechanic).

That's a very delicate job bro I had a Transmission leaked it have to be dropped you have to know what you're doing and you have to get the right oil
