the shop is going to check the continuity in the transmission harness. hopefully a replacement wire harness does the trick. if not, i still have my old transmission and we can swap parts between them one way or another - either the mechatronic to the old transmission or the input speed sensor/temp sensor from the old transmission to the new transmission.
