Only just read this massive 10 page thread on the ongoing bearing problem, just though i'd try and help because back in May '14 my M3 spun its bottom end on a dyno...
The spec of my car:
E92 M3 2010
Stage 2 Evolve Remap
43K miles on the clock
On the 2nd power run, sweet smell from the exhausts like burnt oil and then the dreaded bottom end knock. Car was recovered and i've had the engine removed however i've not yet opened it up.
I've put it all to one side at the moment as it took me 5 years to save for my dream car, this M3 and at the moment i'm now saving for a new engine (which i've talked to my engine builder here and we are going to do ARP + Upgraded bearings before then installing)
I can open up the engine, what would you like to see?
