I also feel its silly when people compared other non performance cars to performance cars.
all those economy cars are going to be more reliable than high end performance cars. they use more extreme parts that try to get the most performance while reliable as possible.
hell you can buy a 300k lambo, and i bet that civic will go longer without any problems.
