I try to have everything ready a week in advance. All my gear is packed and sitting in the garage waiting to be loaded. Any car mods or service items usually 2 weeks in advance. Too any times I've tried to make last minute tweaks and something goes wrong. Missed an event once because car was on a lift waiting for a part to finish a mod install. The event is stressful enough. And I like to get to the location the night before to unpack, change wheels, etc. Don't want to waste energy in the morning of the first day with busy work.
