1% pretty high also in my mind. Hard data (not any of your anecdotal evidence from phone calls with dealers) puts the number at about 0.1%. Again we can get up to about 0.5% with a fairly liberal approach to account for failures not reported on this forum (using number of forum members claiming ownership of an M3 vs. total number of US cars).
