Can you point me to data or other info that shows M3/4 won't be tune friendly? (Not attacking, just genuinely curious)

AFAIK, F10 M5 has gotten over 600 whp. Sounds pretty good to me.

N55 (on which the S55 is based) is taking to mods pretty well. And it's predecessor (N54) is well respected for making easy power. 700 whp on stock internals, it's limits aren't even known yet.

My 335 runs 400 whp/450wtq and has 114k miles (have been tuned about 65k miles). I'm leaving a lot of power on the table by running a conservative tune with no meth, no E85, only pump 93. 30 mpg+ highway. I could be 550 whp with meth, or update my tune, change turbos and go even higher.

This is the information I am basing my opinion on.
