How was the balance with the RA-1s on the rear? Hopefully they were worn or shaved first.
Thinking about it for a second, I could see where this combo could be an advantage. Softer sidewalls of the RA-1 allow for more bite upon acceleration. Rubber compounds are exactly the same, so no grip issues, just balance issues would be my guess.
