Sorry OP, but thanks for sharing. Always good to get these stories to remind us to be careful and critical about our own state before going out. Lately I haven't really had this problem of pushing it to the end, because something always seems to keep wearing out (tires) or breaking (too many to list) to pushing it all the way to the end of the day.

Great advice, and one I don't follow enough. I know there have been a few times I've had a mildly bad session, and figured out after I came off track that I was dehydrated and not thinking clearly enough.
