I don't know to what extent the primary CAT O2 sensors give info back to engine (have seen contradictory info on this), but according to some tuners (i,e Dinan), properly returned fuel mixture info returned to the DME may result in engine running cooler with less wasted fuel and better ignition timing. Mike can correct me on this, but I think his tune keeps all sensors running (for cars with all cats) and all safeguards in place.
The BPM reviews have been so overwhelmingly positive, that I may try his tune, as it sounds like it really improves the low-end torque and after a few track events, I can see where this can come in handy. The only thing holding me back is I only have Macs, but I think I may just buy VMWare/Windows and get it done.

Even with Macs it's no problem, but you need to say it to Mike,so he will sent you files that they will be addapted to Macs

I have the BPM tune and the BPM DCT coding done with Windows

But you can alway's contact Mike and ask him.... no problem
