The jacking points on my car had become pretty "ratty" over 4 years of jacking up and down and placing on jack stands, so I replaced them, which is very simple and obvious when you get the replacement pads - you just jam a screwdriver into the side to break the tabs and lever out.

Finding the pad was not that easy as they weren't in an "obvious" section, so here is the BMW part number for replacing the plastic pads

They are "hidden" in section 51, vehicle trim, "sealing caps and plugs" of the parts catalogue
