My tires are only 10 months old, and I notice the sidewalls are aren’t jet black like they were when new. I only noticed this recently when I started using a “wet” tire dressing. Is there a correlation? I know all tires will eventually get some brown color due to UV exposure, but could the tire dressing possibly be accelerating the browning effect? It just seems more than I expect for 10 month old tires.

Looking to sell a few items I have no use for anymore now that I sold the car.

Custom Covercraft cover. Made out of their Weathershield HP fabric. Great for indoor/outdoor use while still remaining lightweight enough and can takes very little space when stored. Only used once (outdoor) and is in like new condition. Looks great, no tears or holes.

NOCO GB40 Jump Starter. I actually never had to use it, so can't really talk about its performance. Complete with all accessories and storage pouch.

Milwaukee 2352 light. I have the rover version (M18 and M12) and use them a lot more than this one, so decided to sell it. Has had very little use and looks like new.

Milwaukee 2668 right angled impact wrench. I don't use that one much, as I tend to favor either the larger impact gun or the cordless ratchet. I'm sure I'm going to regret selling it shortly after I do with an hard to reach bolt that will need to be broken out, but here we are.

Milwaukee 2663 impact wrench. This is an absolute workhorse and has helped me change countless tires. I just don't have use for it anymore and looking to sell it. It's not the latest generation so lacking a little bit in terms of torque, but still does a very good job on wheel bolts 90% of the time.

Normal Oil and Water temps or is my thermostat failed open?

Hi guys, I have an 08 6mt m3 that I got a month ago. Previous owner showed me a fault code for thermostat he had last summer but cleared it and it never came back.

Last night I went on a drive in 3C (37.4F) weather, went to a drive through, got to normal oil operating temp (95C–100C / 203F–212F), and checked my live data through my scan tool and coolant temps were around 84C (183F).

I then went for a spirited drive on the highway and as soon as I started driving (revving it out to 6000-8000rpm) and going over 140kph (85mph+) my oil temps dropped to 75–80C (167F–176F), and never climbed back to normal oil temps all the way home.

Mind you the ambient temp was only 3C (37.4F). Is this what you guys experience driving in the winter/fall?

I have yet to drive this car in the summer in traffic so I've never actually hit >100C (>212F) which I wanted to do to burn off moisture in the oil. Mind you im coming from a 3 series e92 so im used to 120C+ (248F+) oil operating temps.
