If you’re like me, you’re obsessed with this platform. I was not fortunate enough to be of age to spec and order one of these cars brand new. So, the closest thing I have to experience that is a collection of photos from other owner’s/spotter’s Euro Delivery, dealership visit, factory assembly line, and anything else of an E9X M3 before it has officially driven off the “lot”.

I hope you all enjoy these pictures as these are just a few I have found over the years on the forums, social media, and internet. Please feel free to post pictures you may have (especially a car hauler full of M3’s!).

None of these pictures have been taken by me.

▀▄ eas | A Modern Classic, Brought Back to Life: 2011 E92 M3 (6MT)

It’s been a while since we’ve had an BMW E92 M3 come through like this - and honestly, lower mileage cars like this just don’t show up very often anymore.

2011, 6-speed manual, cloth interior, single hump dash… and just ~19K miles.

The M3 had been sitting for quite some time, but the moment it rolled in, it felt like stepping back in time. It’s not often you get the chance to work on something that still feels this “new” - especially with a platform like this that’s already starting to become a modern classic. The goal here wasn’t to reinvent the car. It was simple: bring it back to life, and make it feel the way it always should have - just a bit sharper everywhere.

Before touching anything performance-related, we handled what matters most on these: Rod Bearings.

Full Rod Bearing Service
We've been doing S65 Rod Bearing Services since 2011. If you know the S65, you know. It’s just part of doing things properly. With that taken care of, the foundation is solid and you can actually enjoy the car without second-guessing it.

Keeping It OEM+, Just Done Right
This wasn’t a “throw parts at it” build. Everything that went on the car had a purpose, and more importantly, had to fit the character of the E92. The factory brakes are fine… until you start driving the car the way it begs to be driven. This setup fixes that immediately - better bite, more consistency, and no drama when you lean on it.

Brembo GT 380mm 6-Piston Front Big Brake Kit, Black Finish/Type 3 Rotors
Brembo GT 345mm 4-Piston Rear Big Brake Kit, Black Finish/Type 3 Rotors

Letting the S65 Breathe (and Sound Like It Should)
This is where the personalization really comes through. The Eventuri setup gives the S65 the proper induction sound it always deserved, and paired with the ARH exhaust, it just feels alive.

Eventuri Carbon Plenum + Intake (Matte Finish)
Macht Schnell Underdrive Pulleys
American Racing Headers/Link Pipes/Mufflers

Nitron NTR R3 3-way coilovers (Fast Road setup)
This is probably single-handedly the biggest transformation on the car. The E92 chassis is already great, but the NTR R3 just takes it to another level. More control, more confidence, and still very usable on the street when set up correctly. It doesn’t feel “race car harsh” - just tight and composed.

Wheels & Stance
Simple, clean, and exactly how it should sit. No need to overcomplicate it - just getting the proportions right makes all the difference.

BBS 19x10.0" REV7 - Diamond Silver Finish, 275/35ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
BBS 19x9.5" REV7 - Diamond Silver Finish, 255/35R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Macht Schnell 5mm/12mm Competition Spacers (dialed fitment)

Ultimate Clutch Pedal
One of those things you don’t think about until you drive it. Tightens everything up and makes the car feel more connected.

End Result
This platform is a good reminder of why the E92 M3 still holds up so well. High-revving NA V8, single-hump dash, manual transmission & cloth interior - it’s a combination that’s not coming back. Starting with a car this clean and bringing it up to this level just makes you appreciate it even more.

It genuinely feels like driving a brand-new E92 M3… just sorted the way it should have been from day one. If you’ve got one sitting, or you’re thinking about bringing one back to life, this is exactly the kind of approach we'd recommend - do the fundamentals right, and build around that.

Hi!

Johnny from Sweden here. I have a few bmw's and this is one of my E90's. This is a model that only was sold in Europe. It was produced during one year and in 2600 units for homologation purposes for the World touring car champinship, WTCC. I imported it from Germany with one previous owner, full documentation on service and no repaint anywhere. The engine is unique to this model and handbuilt at BMW motorsport in England. The block is bored and sleeved, special crank with shorter stroke, 11:1 compression, steel rods, speciaslly cast head. The Valvetronic is removed for less moving parts in racing and valvetronic does not like high revs. It has mechanical lifters and cam followers from M3 E46. Cam cover is made in carbon fiber and the engine is 10kg's lighter because of this and Valvetronuic delete. It is also lowered. Brakes are from the 325 and it has BMW /BBS motorsport 18" staggered wheel setup and unique suspension and damper settings.
All these cars were full M sport cars.
In stock form they were producing 173 hp and in race trim around 280 hp at 8500 rpm.
it is the lightest E90 made
