Is it Ok to attach a trickle charger (like a CTEK) to the electrical leads under the hood to keep the settings while changing the battery?

yes i do believe when the new date is entered , the car understands its dealimg witha full deck so to speak and will draw power differently making it more effficient and long lasting , adjusting from the old battery in whuch yiur car was under performing do to its inadequTE TAYLORED SUPPLY>

SECONDLY , IT IS A FANTASTIK IDEA TO ATTACH A TRICKLE CHARGER WHILE YOI CHANGE BATTERIES SO YOU DONT LOSE ALOT ON PRESETS YOU HAVE SET IN YOUR CAR ALRADY.

No, Calrly has been proven to not properly register new batteries on this car. Unless this has changed in the last 4 years, find some other means of registering the battery. It may code the battery, but fails to register. Shown many times on this forum.
