Biggest tires on zcp

You know what is wild, I saw a guy local that had the same 305 on a zcp wheel. The sidewall looks totally different on the 305 vs the 295. The 295 has a bulge on the 10" wheel but the 305 does not. Not sure about proper support but the 305 looks better.

Are those RE-11s? I'm running 275/295 PSS on my ZCP wheels and I think the rears have slightly more bulge than your 305s, though they are different brands. Pretty sure I read somewhere that the PSS run wide in 295/30 to support stock Porsche sizing.

Do you have any pics from behind the car so I can see the total width?

Yes those are Re11s. Would you like an overall width of the tire photo? To be honest photos dont do it justice but I'll get one.

Yes, just an overall pic of the whole rear of the car please! I'd like to see how much wider the track of those tires is versus the PSS.

Yes perfect, thanks! They really don't look much wider (if at all) than the 295 PSS. The PSS seems to have slightly more bulge to the sidewall too, though that might just be its design versus a testament to width.

Yeah I had them powder coated 90% gloss black and they're dirty.

Reno, when you went up in size, did you notice a decrease in takeoff? I know you gained some serious grip, but I would think you also gained some serious unsprung weight. Dont get me wrong, Im looking at the exact same setup for next years summer season, just wondering.

At least with my 295 PSSs I feel like there is a slight gain in takeoff. The additional grip plus the minor (insigificant?) increase in torque (shorter gearing effect) from the slightly shorter tire diameter over stock felt like there was a gain. The 305s are closer to the stock 265/35 diameter though so perhaps this effect is negated with that setup.

Where did you find this data? That pretty much tells all...the PSS does run wider than the RE-11s. A full inch difference in tread width between the 305s of the two brands

No the car has more traction and really hooks out of the hole. I would have to walk it off the line very carefully before.

I got that info from Tire rack. Narrower or not the RE11 has a lot more grip than the PSS they're really in two totally different classes though. PSS is an awesome pure street tire but if you do any track days I would recomend the RE11s. Pedders runs these on there camaros because of the life they get out of them on top of great performance.

It doesn't look any wider than my 285s out back due to the 10" wide rim...

How about the wear on the RE11s vs PSS? Tirerack has the RE11 at 180 and the PSS at 300 wear rating.

Cant wait for summer next year.

Check out the reviews on the RE11s guys are getting 28k miles out of them. I'm sure people get more out of the PSS.

Yeah I've heard you can get 20k+ miles out of the PSS but it's going to be a few years before I know as I just put them on this past Spring The RE-11s are considered an even grippier tire I believe but not as good in the wet, and since I daily drive my car I was more comfortable with the PSS. They certainly grip like crazy on the street.

RE11s are known for awesome wet traction

I'm sick of waiting for Michelin to release their 285/30 PSS..
