Because there was a lot less restrictions back then. So people made bigger sigs, and now that theirs more of a restriction, people can only use smaller sigs. But if you dont change your sig, you could have kept your big sig. Thats why some people still have huge sigs, because they haven't changed it yet. Once they change it, they'll have to follow the xxx by xxx pixel restriction as well.
