Chicago/Illinois: Appraiser for E90 M3 total-loss appraisal dispute?

I'm looking for a recommendation for an independent vehicle appraiser in the Chicago/Illinois area who has experience with BMW M cars/enthusiast vehicles.

I'm specifically looking for someone who understands the enthusiast market and can properly account for an E90 M3's specification, condition and documented major maintenance rather than relying primarily on generic valuation databases.

The car is a 2011 E90 M3, Space Gray, ZCP, 135k miles, with documented rod bearings and throttle actuators, 359M wheels, Öhlins R&T suspension and several Dinan upgrades.

If anyone has personally used an appraiser in Illinois, I'd really appreciate the name and your experience with them. TIA!

Maybe not locally, but there are a few companies that specialize in this for a small fee (usually worth it). You can also try to gather data from recent sales on bring a trailer, cars and bids etc on a similarly spec'd car to help your case as to the value of it. I worry about this as something like kbb says its worth around 18-20k but based on my specs, miles etc, they tend to sell for almost double that on site like BAT.

Obviously this isn't helpful now but this is one of the reasons I am insured with Haggerty because my premium is based on a guaranteed pay out. I dont need to haggle in the case of a total loss. Fwiw its 70k and my premium is like 800/yr

So dumb quoted like $240 a month for 45k coverage.

High deductibles and they don’t let you remove coverage when in storage for the winter.
