I just got a new 540i and the album art in Spotify displays on apple carplay but not on the native BMW app. Tired rebooting - logging out etc. anyone else have the same issue? Any fixes?

Short answer: Yes, other people see the same. No, it's likely not a problem with the car but with the backend BMW/Spotify service.
