Continuing to get the 928S back to road worthiness

After rebuilding the seized rear brake calipers and bleeding the system with fresh fluid, another job was to replace the weak hood and trunk dampers with new ones, all 4 of them for £40 .

I'm not a Porsche guy by any stretch, but the 928 is one of my favorite cars. I'd love to have one. Jealous.

We call them Pasha seats over here similar to the GP finish flag design.
It'll take a while to get 'er back on the road as a faulty immobiliser has to be removed and a new cam belt installed.
After that the reverse gear needs adjusting and finally a rebuilt flexible printed circuit for the dashboard to get the dash lights and warning lights working.

This particular car is fitted with the lighter forged staggered S4 wheels with rear 'wide track' Porsche spacers fitted, also lighter tear drop door mirrors from a later model were fitted, I still have the originals.

Oops, my bad on the seats. Pepita seats are available on Cayenne today and that is what I (incorrectly) was recalling.

When the engine is finally running some parts I collected years back will be fitted, like this genuine unused intermediate exhaust section, the old Ansa one on it is blowing on all sides.

I've always wanted a 928 GTS! Unfortunately you can't find them anywhere. But I can dream.

I'm in the middle of moving house so it will be in a while before some real work is done on it, in the meantime it's dribs and drabs with small things.
