AW E90 M3 6SP, Single Hump, Slicktop, Fox Red

Looking for a very specific car as the title says.

I would only switch to speed cloth interior if someone has one.

Looked for 2.5-3 years for that exact spec gave up as only ever found 1 and was at EAG , couldn’t swing it and then was sold early 2024
Jealous if you find one or those who have one

mines close... double hump zcp 2011 AW/Foxy slicktop 6mt, sportster CS's, KW CS, TE37's, ST60/40. took me a long while, best of luck in your search! I almost strayed from my dream, but found the perfect spec (for me)... I really wanted a single hump and realized that the screen is actually really useful + carplay ( I use it for maps even on back roads ). Only place I wouldnt use it is on track so maybe consider a double hump if you find one that checks every other box, i'm glad I did!

Agree, though if you have your heart set on a single hump dash, swapping is pretty easy. Same with interior color, though finding E90 Fox Red set is going to be the big challenge, they don't come up for sale often.

I had the same wish list when I was looking, got one with a slicktop but changed the interior to fox red, the trim to cabon leather and the dash to single hump but now that I know more about these cars, I wouldn't overlook doing a carbon fiber roof on an E90, hardest part about that is finding a slicktop headliner.

As long as you factor in the $3-4k+? + labor or time then jumping on a sunroof car is fine, I was open to it but so glad I found the Slicktop and saved that on the front end! I got lucky too, paid sunroof prices for a Slicktop 🫣 interior, incl the single hump is def easier to source… seen em for less than $200 + labor or time. But I genuinely enjoy the fact that I have a double hump now that I’m

So here’s my dilemma… I currently own an FL5, I sold my last E90 M3 because at the end of the day I wanted a 6 speed long term and it was DCT with 150k miles. If you look at a thread I just created, I just bought a car to flip but the crazy part is it checks most boxes. It’s an 08 AW E90 6 speed with single hump. Has a sunroof which I actually don’t mind but has bamboo which I could live with until I found a fix red set or just went custom upholstery. I bought it for sub $15k… I’m like do I just keep this and restore it over the years? Swap interiors, do everything I want to do because I’m starting from fresh, or… flip it and wait for “the one”?

I saw the resto thread you have going. Honestly with the amount of time and effort you are putting into it, I would just keep it but that is me. I guess it depends how much you can get for it but finding "the one" can take years and will likely be a lot of money as these things are steadily going up in price.

Its fun to restore, and for the $12.5k you are into it, you are way ahead of the game so just use that to justify the cost of the parts. There is a set of bamboo factory M Performance seats for sale right now that I would be thinking about for now, until you can find a fox red set and just get the mjunky gts arm rest delete. How many miles are on it?

I bought mine for $18k in December of 2020 with 131k, had a ton of maintenance done and has been quite reliable for the most part for the 31k miles I've put on it since. I don't want to think of what I've spent "making it mine" but I'm very happy with it and the feeling of restoring a car and having it fully sorted is pricesless as somone mentioned in your other thread. I also have a low mileage garage queen E90 but honestly, I feel more emotional about my "beater". haha

I really appreciate the response as I’ve been really contemplating what to do. It’s only got 117k miles on it which I don’t mind. It would see no more than 2000 miles a year; maybe less. Thanks for your input. I have a feeling this car fell into my lap for a reason.

Its always cool when there is a story behind the car, sounds like you have one! I found my beater before I got the garage queen in Texas and was all set to buy it but the seller dissappeared, reappeared months later and sold it out from under me to someone else who shipped it to the northeast. I had bought my garage queen that fall but in December the guy that bought the beater was selling it and I jumped, the story was too good to pass it up and now I had a car I didn't mind modding or putting miles on!

117k is nothing and neither is 2000 miles a year. Plus, 2008s get a bad rap but I've used the keyed trunk many times which would have been a problem if it was LCI and the refridgerated center console to me are better than the tail lights of which I'm running the OEM black lines which are great.
