So what are your predictions?
I expect the Austrian GP to be hot. This high power track might require either 2 or 3 pitstops. Especially when hot, the tyres can wear fast.
That might give Ferrari a chance again, just like last GP in Barcelona, but I think the Mercedes PU will still dominate if it doesn't break down.

Team RB has promised to bring updates, but those are not updates on the PU so I think they still don't stand a real chance on winning. Maybe a podium, but I still expect PU power to be too much of a factor on this track, especially the electric part with all it's acceleration and decelleration zones.

• I believe the main issues with the RBPT PU are deployment based. So output from the ICE has never been their issue this season
• Ferrari are also bringing updates to their power unit, this could be season changing, or it may not alter anything significantly. This is Ferrari we are talking about after all
• I await with interest to see how the McLaren will look after its tyres. Last season it was their biggest advantage but the "tire-water" seems to have evapourated this year (pun intended)

I honestly think this race is wide open among the top 4 teams. I still believe this is Mercedes race to lose, but with all the upgrades coming thick and fast the outcome is not assured.

We're in charge

After the refreshing change of seeing someone other than Mercedes win in Barcelona, I think Mercedes could be back on top this weekend. George Russell looked strong throughout the Barcelona-Catalunya GP weekend and has a great chance at the Red Bull Ring.

It is one of my favorite tracks on the calendar. The racing is usually entertaining and the setting around Spielberg is beautiful. If anyone is attending the race and has some extra time, this guide has some useful suggestions for places to visit nearby, including Graz's Hauptplatz, Schlossberg, Murinsel, the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum, and the scenic Steinplan hiking area. Should be another great weekend of racing.
