BMW's original felt-fiber undertray works well when new, but over time it becomes damaged from road debris, moisture, heat cycles, spirited driving, and track use. Sagging, tearing, and complete failure are extremely common.
We wanted to create a replacement that not only solves the durability issue but also improves functionality where it matters most.
A True OEM-Plus Replacement
The EAE Motorsports Aluminum Undertray is a direct replacement for the factory unit, utilizing all OEM mounting locations for a clean, straightforward installation. There is no cutting, drilling, or modification required—simply bolt it into place using the factory mounting points and included hardware, just as BMW intended.

When we looked at the market, most aluminum undertrays were selling in the $400–$500 range. We felt there was an opportunity to provide the same level of quality at a more reasonable price.
Instead of producing small batches, we partnered with a local Michigan manufacturer and committed to larger production runs of 100 units at a time. That allowed us to dramatically reduce production costs while maintaining the fitment, quality, and attention to detail enthusiasts expect.
We didn't cut corners—we cut costs. By manufacturing in volume and working directly with local suppliers, we're able to offer what we believe is one of the most OEM+ aluminum undertrays on the market at a price that makes sense.
