I saw this. Nice. I hope they have the Paul Rosche type reliability that helped BMW win LeMans - twice (?) before. One of them in the McLaren F1.
This would be a big podium to win for BMW with this car. Fingers crossed.
After 24 hours I'm hoping for the yellow tortoise in quali to come through and make it two in a row :D
With just over 6 hours to go the 83 Ferrari of Kubica,Hanson,Ye is currently in 6th position and the 20 BMW leads.
91 Manthey 911 big crash into tyre barrier after steering failure causing double yellow. 83 Ferrari is now the leading Ferrari in 5th place.
Looking good for BMW!
34 minutes to go, can the Frijns BMW nail that lead Koby Toyota 20 seconds in front...Frijn's is in a Toyota sandwich with the 3rd placed Toyota 13 seconds behind him.
Leading Ferrari is Kubica's in 5th.
...15 seconds, Frijn's is gaining.. come on Robin . If the Koby car fails on the last lap like in a previous LM 24hour WEC then there will be a few hara kiris ...
10 seconds...! BMW can do this .
But not this race and no breakdown fornthe 7 car this time around so Koby wins it by 10 seconds from Frijn's. There are more Toyota flags and posters there than I've had hot dinners.
Because of a splash and dash the 83 Ferrari was the second Ferrari finisher, shame.
I watched a little of this last night on Youtube. 3 am in France. This is like a 24 hour sprint race. I would expect second place and third stay close and pacing themselves. It looked like guys in the middle of the night are practically running qualifying laps. Come on BMW. Where is BMW #15?
So close! On the podium is a great for BMW, considering the struggles they have had with the car. Of course Ferrari is wanking about the BOP metrics holding them back. Funny they didn’t mention how BOP helped them so much over past races.
It was one of those weekends that I had to stay inside the house and awaken most of the time. There was a channel showing the entire race. I pushed record. Also the longest recording I’ve ever done. And impressive it never had a glitch.

So I’ve watched the whole thing. Or just about. I’ve skipped over the silly interviews and the fillers of the FYC.

It was the first time I’ve watched the whole 24 hours. And I’ve loved it! So much action.
It was a nice race and BMW did good to get a second place.
And let’s see how rest of the WEC championship season goes.
So all hush hush secret out now that Ferrari LMH cars were hit with restrictive BoP which imposed on their acceleration and straight line performance compared to their competitors who basically walked it, restrictive rules are turning the greatest race of all into a farce.
