Anyone have much experience & advice with DI/Spotless water filters?

I noticed that as well - the foam seems to be thicker and less runny using DI water. Plus, when I foam using DI, if it dries due to heat/sun, it's even easier to wipe off than with (my somewhat hard) tap water.

Looks like the mixed bed resin from filterelated is on sale for Prime Day.

My PPM is still 0 as of yesterday, but tempted to pick up. It might be the same sale during Black Friday though.

I'd be all over that if it wasn't pre-mixed. The split system has a fishy smell but it flows better and last longer.

Perhaps another DI filter, at the right sale price, could be tempting though....

With water around 200 ppm, a dual-bed DI like the OTG is a solid choice, but resin will deplete pretty fast. I’d personally consider adding a small RO system before the DI to extend resin life long-term. For media, many people just buy bulk mixed-bed resin online (cheaper than branded refills).

RO is gallons per day, not minute. You have to run it with a tank. You'll get 1000s of gallons out of your resin with it though.

Also will have to integrate pumps if your PW is not self priming.
