I'm hoping to get some advice from people who know the F20 audio system better than I do.
My car is a 2017 BMW F20 LCI 118d N47(Japan-spec).
Last week I had the right headlight assembly replaced. During the repair, there was also a fault related to the headlight leveling system (headlight aim adjustment). When I picked up the car today, the shop cleared the headlight fault and reinitialized/reset the system using their diagnostic computer.
At first everything seemed normal. However, on the drive home I noticed that the right front speakers were no longer working.
Current symptoms:
* Right front midrange speaker: no sound
* Right front tweeter: no sound
* Under-seat woofer on the right side still appears to be working
* All speakers on the left side work normally
* Balance/fader settings have been checked and are correct
* No audio-related fault codes are stored
* No visible damage around the door wiring boot
What makes me suspicious is that the problem appeared on the exact day I got the car back from the headlight repair.
I'm trying to understand whether this is likely to be:
1. A coincidence and simply a failed speaker
2. A wiring/connector issue somewhere in the right front audio circuit
3. An amplifier channel problem or protection mode
4. Something related to the headlight replacement, battery disconnection, coding, or vehicle reset procedure
Has anyone seen a similar issue on an F20?
Since both the right front midrange and tweeter stopped working at the same time, I'm having a hard time believing that both speakers failed simultaneously.
Any ideas, common failure points, or diagnostic suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
