As the title states. The knob on my 2008 m3 only works when being pressed down. It will occasionally work when being pressed Left/right/up/down. But it never works when trying to rotate the knob. I was able to try 2 different knobs that I acquired on eBay. Both of them have the same issue. I'm assuming there is a wiring issue or a fault with the head unit itself. I tried searching and couldn't find anything on the exact issue I was having. Hopefully someone here can shed some light on what the fix might be
