Although a Michelin driver/user for years, inclined to go with ECS02 next time.
PS4S remains very good...IMO tire tech now a bit long-in-the-tooth compared to current ECS02 overall performance.

Late response on my end.

I like the ECS02 because I think it's a better value than most of the other 300TW tires, Although I do have another 300TW tire I've been eyeballing for budget reasons.. I've yet to try them so I will refrain from mentioning other than mentioning they perform like a 220-240TW tire.

It's a tire I can actually vouch for in terms of road comfort (depending on the tire size), and it's also great to have as a "backup" track tire for the days I'm too lazy to swap over to my dedicated track set.

The ECS02 offers grip that's very comparable to the Pilot Sport 4S in the dry, but I actually prefer it in the wet. It inspires a lot more confidence in rainy conditions, which makes it a great fit for SoCal where we don't see rain often, but when we do, I don't have to worry about it.

There have definitely been a few freeway on-ramps and off-ramps taken at... questionable speeds on my commute.

Dry performance in the canyons has also been excellent.

My only real complaint is the sidewall shape. The ECS02 has a fairly rounded sidewall, so depending on your wheel width and tire sizing, it can look a little awkward. For example, a 285/30 on a 10.5-inch wheel looks a bit stretched because the rim protector sticks out quite a bit. A 285/35 fills the wheel out much nicer, so that's something to keep in mind when choosing your sizing.
