If you go to the race on the app and then scroll down you’ll find the sky feed - only available live I think
Thanks! Like a total idiot, I was looking for this feed within the F1 feed/app and not Apple TV.

Cool pictures

Do you notice anything about the AMR cars as a spectator that they vibrate excessively? Different sounds?
From my view, the only real observation is that the car simply looks slower than the others.

The strangest part though is it actually sounds way better than the other cars when leaving the pit from an aural pleasure perspective. What a shame that counts for absolutely zero in the scheme of things. :)

The Merc engine actually make you want to reach for the ibuprofen.

I really dislike this battery concept. Hopefully common sense will prevail in the end and the concept of pandering to a group of people that will never watch a race in their life will end.

Listening to the V8s yesterday evening really hits home how awful the F1 cars sound.

It could be over by then.

Are any of guys watching FP1 with the Sky F1 commentary on Apple TV? I can’t seem to get that commentary only the international commentary even though Apple said they would have both feeds. Not a fan of the international commentary, pretty bland.
I just caught up on FP2 so Apple does record it if you can't grab it live. First the presenters IMO suck. Never cared for Jolyon Palmer on track or off and while I love Juan Pablo Montoya behind a wheel I could do without him behind a microphone. What the hell happened to Lawrence Barretto's face? Alex Brundle is not Martin Brundle. I like Sam Collins but let him talk, at least he knows his stuff. While I'm on a rant here, don't they have dentists in Great Britain? If there is a alternative broadcast, It wouldn't bother me. Never thought I would miss David Croft but I do.
"Super Clipping" is the term used in this video for the F1 car's hybrid brain pulling RPMs and power making as much as a 45kph difference in some corner entry speeds - at least according to the video analysis. What kind of racing are we going to see? It's a rhetorical question, but the correct answer might be "managed", synthetic racing and not pure racing anymore.

Maybe if it were NASCAR or IndyCar... Though it's a good idea and use of my tax dollars I would be okay with.

Examples of super-clipping during FP1 and FP2.
Imagine this at tracks like Baku, Monza, Las Vegas, etc.
It is going to be bad.

Don't confuse charging up for one hot quali lap with regular racing mode.
What cars do to control tire temps and battery charge before one hot lap in free practice and qualification is not how they will race!

Apparently AMR has only 2 batteries left (so one for each car); those vibrations apparantly broke a lot of batteries in Bahrein.:confused0068:
I don't get it - how hard can it be for Honda to package and ship a few spare batteries?
There is way more to this cluster f*ck than what we have been told....

Most likely - #47 will TACO in a week or two, as per the usual.

🗣️ Max Verstappen: “Sometimes you're the underdog, sometimes you're dominating almost the whole season, that's something people probably don't like. That's not my problem. I'm here to win, and I'm trying to win every race, right? That's always the goal. Why would I feel sorry for success? That would be a bit silly.”

“It's better to be positively, let’s say, received. But the most important is that I'm true to myself, not to just look good to the outside. You either love it or hate it. I'm not there to make friends. I'm just myself. I'm always trying to be the same person on and off track.”

Garage tour completed. No photos allowed this year all top secret stuff. The cars had all the panels removed and they were working on the power unit. A few Honda guys with concerned expressions. Lots of busy Aston guys. The engine is so tiny. They started it up and were monitoring things. The chassis looks pretty amazing. So many little details. I would have loved to have taken some photos. The steering wheel which we got to examine has even more buttons and gadgets than ever.

Saw Flavio again walking towards Alpine. He appeared in the same state as the other night. I think that?s just his permanent state. Saw Villneuve. He looks exactly as you would expect. Very small, signature lumberjack shirt and like he wants to bite your leg.

The Aston slogan was an interesting choice for this year. They maybe should add absolutely in there.

His attitude is unmatched in sport. Cannot think of another who is as genuine and straight forward. It's refreshing to see someone who is like that, aside from being the most immensely talented guy in F1 and motorsports in general in decades.

never mind the racing. this phenomenon is actually just harvesting, it's always been harvesting since forever.

the issue is not the racing. when the car harvests it's like slamming on the brakes. if you recall when Alonso very slightly slowed down in the middle of the straight in Albert Park in front of George Russell, Russell destroyed his car.

well this kind of random mega slowing down is going to happen all year long.
Did Ferrari fan hopium just get crushed by that Russell lap?

The answer to whether Merc was sandbagging...yes.

They use to just harvest in hard braking.

Now they are harvesting via braking, lift and coast, and worst of all at full throttle.

They are super-clipping on single push laps and during race simulations. This is a feature of these regulations.
Well that was a bit better for Fernando. Maybe he has been given all batteries as Lance didn’t go out.

Getting very interesting at the pointy end! The race activist is looking quick again. George looking like he’s ready to deliver. Charles in there and Oscar also looks the goods. Not sure what’s going on with Max but he is notorious for holding back.

Antonelli did a perfect Antonelli. Will they get his car ready in time? P3 was already delayed.

Oscar stand was packed full of Oscar supporters. The green shirt is a special Oscar supporters shirt in Australian colours. For a second I wondered why there were so many Aston supporters.

In other news I got hit with serious hay fever. I’m allergic to Melbourne.

P3 photos attached.
