Not sure if this is the right forum, but I picked up a 2011 E92 M3 ZCP a couple months ago, and wanted to tune the car after I put on a active autowerke catless x pipe. Here's the thing though, before I got the car, the previous owner had replaced the engine with a brand new S65 after his rod bearings failed. However, when replacing the engine, he never swapped out the new engines bearings for aftermarket bearings. Meaning I have an s65 with less than 5000 miles on it, but with the OEM bearings.
My question is:
Do I need to do rod bearings before the engine is tuned?
