Price check on E90

Looking at a 2009 E90 DCT with about 80k miles on OEM 359M’s, sun roof, well optioned.

The car is very clean with only 2 owners and all major maintenance done including RB’s.

My budget was $30-33k and we’ve negotiated to $36-37k, which is above my budget. I’m considering stretching because of the cleanliness of the car.

Is this over priced? Is the extra money for a well maintained worth the peace of mind?

I meant paying more for a cleaner car that I know has been well maintained and looks like it.

What is the VIN/spec & condition - I'm curious. Seems pretty steep.

I have an '09 E90 DCT with similar miles, every option except extended leather, 359M's, MPE, RB & TA's done, excellent condition, etc., and I don't think I'd get much above $30K for it in the current market.

That's based off what I see other cars selling for on BaT, all the cars that are $35Kish on this forum that sit & never sell...

Very good condition, RB’s done, paint looks amazing. Spec attached, he swapped out the wood trim for the factory carbon option, has 359M’s.

I’m supposed to go up tomorrow and get it for $36.5 but I’m kinda having second thoughts.

I really want the car but it feels like a lot despite the condition.

Yah, highly optioned for sure.

I'm not selling mine but if I were, I think I'd be grateful to get that amount. With that said, there aren't many of these cars left in good condition, and if you like the car and it checks all your boxes, the price isn't unreasonable, go for it. It just seems like it's on the higher end for the year and DCT (6MT will always command more).

For reference, this '09 E90 DCT in popular Lemans Blue, only 65K miles, highly optioned, excellent condition, has been sitting for over a year in the upper 30's.

You’re certainly not getting a great deal. I suppose the question comes down to - are you okay overpaying ~$3-5k for the convience of already finding a car you like.

I’ve been looking for a few months now and the cars I’ve seen for low 30’s were either higher mileage and/or not this clean.

In that sense I was willing to stretch my budget for the one I want, but I do feel like I’m probably over paying by $2-3k.

I guess that’s something I’ll need to decide if I’m comfortable with like you said. Oof this is a tough one cause I do really like the car.

Most of those cars are not worth low 30's though, more like mid to high 20's. There are quite a few delusional sellers in this market.
