Hello,
I had a question about an engine noise from an 10’ e92 m3 and was just wondering if this noise had to do with the rod bearings or if it’s something like a worn rotational component that’s just randomly hitting other parts. I believe it could be a worn tensioner pulley or belt. It’s a slight tapping/slapping noise that is random and does not follow the rpms and only occurs once the cars up to temp. I read on another forum post that it could be signs of rb failure but I had them done within the last 12k miles(at S5X with ACL bearings) and I typically don’t drive the car hard. Any insight is greatly appreciated, thanks!
