Hey guys, just wanted to share something that I've never seen mentioned in any kind of DIY guide for replacing your headunit with an aftermarket unit. In my case, installing a carplay head unit, all of the additional wires and harnesses starting making terrible rattling noises after install. So I just came up with a solution that works really well and is really cheap (probably free if you have zip ties).
So basically I took out the head unit and radio, and then wrapped anything that was hard plastic with some socks (unworn) and Velcro cable ties.
I was kind of shocked how well this worked and I would definitely recommend doing something along the lines of this if you're going to be doing a headunit upgrade! Although I will say, it would be absolutely worth it to wrap as much of the cabling as you can, as I'm still hearing a little bit of noise coming from them.
