Visited the swatch boutique in Paris!
Wife came away with this
Wife came away with this
After hemming and hawing since they came out my wife fell in love with the Pink Moonphase. What really sealed the deal is the new rubber straps they have for the Moonswatch. I have a Mission to Mars and the strap fits my bigger wrist fine. My wife tried it on and couldn't even get it to Velcro. She tried one on with the new strap, and next thing you know we're walking out of the store with that Pink Bag! Unfortunately the Pink Rubber strap is on back order so she may not get to wear it for a while.
Have the prices for these kind of come back down to earth (lol) ?
Last I checked was when these first came out and were going for something ridiculous like $1000. but now it seems like you could get it on stockx or elsewhere for pretty much MSRP ($300 ish) ?
I'm nowhere close to an official swatch store, so only online purchase for me, and not all are available directly through swatch so... other marketplaces are my only choice.

Prices for non-limited models are definitely back to normal, but there are still a TON of fakes out there.
SaMaster14 wroteYea I saw! Glad they finally did that. Some of the originals (moon, earth, sun, mars, I think) are available for online purchase directly from swatch!

Do you know how much the mission to moonphases go these days? I see them go for 300-500 depending on the marketplace, but I'm just so unfamiliar with this space that I don't even know where to start looking and what marketplaces are trustworthy.
illuminarias wroteThat sounds about right. I usually trust StockX because of their verification process, but it’s still not perfect (I would say 90% sure you will get a genuine piece if you pay the slight premium, but as always be careful if something seems too good to be true). If you do get a fake they have a solid return policy though since they rely on people suggesting them due to their verification.Yea I saw! Glad they finally did that.

So… Swatch finally started selling the MoonSwatch online. Honestly, this kinda kills the whole idea of collecting them for future value, the hype’s just not the same anymore.
The only ones still worth chasing (IMO) are the special editions, since those remain exclusive.
That said, my Mission to the Moon still gets a lot of wrist time and I enjoy it every single time I wear it.

Picked up one of the new Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold - Cold Moon editions!
I tried to grab one from the “local” swatch store (at least an hour drive away) a couple of weeks ago. Had a horrible experience with incompetent and completely rude staff and decided that store would not be getting my $$ for this, so I paid a slight premium and went “grey” market.
Really happy with this model!

Picked up the moonshine gold from the store on Oxford street yesterday, anniversary present for the wife
Are any of these newer special edition ones larger diameter?
I had a few of the first releases and sold them all as I found them too small for my wrist (plus they are oddly light, but I could deal with that).
If they made them a little bigger I would probably get back into one or two.
