Hey all,

I have a 6 speed 2010 with 48k miles on it and within the last 2500 miles or so I've noticed a consistent engine/driveline vibration and sound when the revs are in the 1200-2000 RPM range. It seems to happen most noticably when the car is hot and has been running for a while, it is more subtle before the car is warmed up. Able to feel the vibration slightly through the seats.

It happens in/out of gear and regardless of clutch position so leaning more toward thinking it's the motor mounts rather than the giubo/CSB, mostly noticable when letting off throttle while in gear (any gear) and coast to a stop, but in neutral if you hold revs in that RPM range, the vibration/sound is heard.

Anyone familiar with this issue?
Have you done your rod bearings yet?

Not that it's related, but a good time to replace motor mounts while doing the RB's.

nah i'm only at 48,000 miles. I think you're right this is most likely mounts. i also think the guibo and csb need replacing.

I would hope not. Mine is a year newer with twice the miles and plenty on track but the flex disc only has surface cracks.

Engine mounts are easy to inspect with the front wheels off.
I did my motor mounts with my RB's at 58K miles and 6 years, and they were complete toast. I didn't have any vibrations, but the mounts were more than shot at that point, so I'm sure yours are too at 12 years even with the low mileage. And as you pointed out, if it vibrates out of gear then it isn't likely the driveshaft or giubo.
So I took the front wheels off and took a look, the motor mounts look fine. I have no idea how, they’re original and the car is a 2010 with 49k miles on it. Revved it a bunch and the motor doesn’t move on the mounts really at all. Kinda stumped on this one.
