Currently in the middle a thunderstorm.

206 tornadoes in Illinois so far this year. Way more than any other state. Craziness.

The oven remains on for today with around 32C later but thankfully the weekend will see a drop to around 26C highs steadily dropping off as next week progresses with hopefully some rain from Tuesday.

I don't know why the NWS is suddenly issuing heat advisories down here by our tree farm. Today's forecast 97 F high is the same as all of last month with similar humidities, and they didn't sound the alert for those days.....

Was 85 today, moderate humidity. Cold front coming through in a few hours... Sever threat level 1. Then, a beautiful Sat/Sunday shaping up... Low 80's, low humidity. Fall coming ?!.

Some years ago Wifey and I were at Kew Gardens on a hot, sunny day. It was brutal. I neglected to bring a hat and got a nasty sunburn on my head. But that day was *maybe* upper 80's or low 90's. I can't imagine how bad a day over 100F would be.
