m3 e92 and iPhone 5

Just picked up an e92 2008 m3. Over the moon with it but just noticed it won't take my iPhone 5s music.

Has there been any kind of bug fix for this since the release?

When one wants a cabriolet, is there really any other choice than an M3? No. No, there's not.

Check out the Tune2Air device. Works like a charm and only $90!

This is not related to a bug. 2008's have the old I-drive which doesn't have this functionality. Need the newer module I believe.

OP is a bit vague. He should be able to play music from his iPhone using the Y cable connected in the center console (assuming his car has that option). If he does not have the USB port in the center console then he will have to look to other options. As happos2 points out, a 2008 does not have the functionality to play music over bluetooth...

Very true. I jumped straight to bluetooth...wasn't thinking about hardwiring. You speak the truth about the y-cable / usb! Although...I haven't kept up to date with the technical section about the electronics - there might be an issue due the fact that the iphone 5/5s has the lightning port versus the Thunder. I would have to research to see if that is an issue or not as I believe there are threads on that.

Just get the Thunder to Lightning port adaptor. It is cheap and works like a champ...

Lightning to 30 Pin adapter (plus the Y-cable). Thunderbolt is a Mac technology.

Didn't know what they were called to be honest, just used the names mentioned before. Bottom line - the adapter for the iPhone 4 style cord (what you get with the y-cable) to the iPhone 5 style... :-)
