New APEX Street wheel at Bimmerfest.

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but they have a pretty good looking street wheel that was intro'ed at Bimmerfest yesterday. Fitment in 19" size looks perfect for us.

Why are they referred to as a street wheel? Just extra weight?

I'm sure Eddy will start a thread, so I'll let him describe the details, but they said they have more material to help with pot holes and stuff.

If you look at them side by side in this month's Roundel, where they have an ad, the new wheel has more details at the end of the spokes and looks nicer compared to the EC7, IMO. The EC7 is also more open in the center to allow better access to the lugs/bolts.

EC7

vs. PS7

Actually, on second look....how are they different, except for the fact that the new PS7's have a slightly more ornate design where the spoke hits the wheel....?

19x10, 19x11 please. Maybe the profile does not allow but both offsets for the 10.5 and 11 are not very good. Very hard to run a 295 on the 10.5 without rubbing and the 11 is pushing it also with a 25 offset, They should be 25 and 29 offset.
Just because of the weight I will have to have a set.

They look like the HRE P40 pretty much, and are definitely much thinner spokes than the EC7

Not sure if anyone cares but the 18x9 and 18x10 are perfect for SCCA stock class autocross if you have a ZCP car now that you can downsize/upsize diameter by 1"

They have a few pre-order group buys going on in the Venders wheel section.

Wait, what? How are these PS7's going to be lighter than the HRE P40SC?
