Well, if Devo's M3 is to be built in Jan, that means late Feb/early March delivery. So, if the gap was 3 months last time, and if that is to hold true this time around as well, the pricing annoucement should be coming very soon, sometime in December.

I thought you guys might like to see this:

My dealer called me early today to confirm that my order has an early January build date. The specs you see there are the default specs BMW gave my dealer, so my specs (Space Grey, Fox Red Novillo, 19's, iPod, BMW Assist, Carbon Leather) won't propagate in the system until next week some time.

Yes, #1. Newbold BMW in Illinois. I'll have to either drive the car out here or have it shipped. Oh well, at least I'll be one of the first in Cali to have the car.

Wow, congrats. I have a deposit with the same dealer. I remember them saying the first two spots were for guys in CA.

How long ago did they contact you? Did they send you any information about options or pricing?

Thanks man! He (Neil Westfall, who also happens to be a very nice man) contacted me early this morning, and he said that the same thing happened with the M5: they gave out production #s and placed orders about a week before they received official pricing. I think that's rather good news. Also, it should be known that with my 08 M5 I had about 3 weeks to change my options before the car went into production, which means that BMW has to release the prices somewhere in the next few weeks. They can't have customers order a car without knowing pricing.

I meant how long ago did they initially contact you?
I saw about a month ago you posted saying they called and took your order.
Did they send you the options list or how did you know what to pick?

You're right, it was about a month ago. They sent me the options list but I already knew it before they sent me it.
