Not necessarily, high perf struts are not checked that way. Part of it has to do with the resistance when compressing and obviously on rebound as well. Shock dyno gives you that

True, I just assumed that both shocks would exhibit similar behaviour if they were in similar condition. Either way, things haven't gotten bouncy yet, so I'm still in the clear.

I thought I was high miles at 98. Have you done the bearings or no?

It's comforting to read that there are few high mileage cars being enjoyed in this forum. I just finished year 1, 15k (miles).

When you dont feel the change between comfort to sport.

At 50k miles i thought my shocks were fine untill i replaced them with TC Kline coilovers.
They actually less harsh going over a set of train tracks by my work than EDC on thd sofest setting.

@ 105K miles, mine are fine. They've even held up with hard track use.

For all of you guys with high mileage were you all lowered? Mine only survived to 50K with about 35K miles of those miles lowered on Eibachs and my fronts were blown.

Granted I drive it like I stole it and had a few track days as well but the roads in OC are butter smooth...

66k Front Passenger Side shock has gone out. Car noticeably drops its nose more when turning hard to the left and the steering went out of alignement as it is now relying completely on the spring.
Will replace in stages. Both fronts with Bilstiens now. May as well change the front hub bearings and any other easy to get to bushings and suspensions pieces while in there also. Rears will have to wait until after Christmas.
Houston TX Roads are Dogshit.

52k and still going. Hoping I can get to at least 65k since our highways are really good up here. Then I'm gonna go down the Bilstein route.

That's my plan too, with as many powerflex bushings as are available.

I know the springs/mounts are different on a ZCP car and that they have the dynamic mode - does this mean that you can only go with OE replacements if you wish to retain ZCP functionality and height? As in, would Bilsteins on a ZCP car and Bilsteins on a non-ZCP car be essentially identical?
