Has anyone else in the U.S. moved way up on the waiting list?

Has anyone else moved up the list? I have moved from #10 to #3 in only 8 months since my deposit here in Tampa, FL.

I came into the game two weeks ago @ the top of the list for a sedan at 3 dealers. There must not be much interest for a 6 speed sedan around the southeast.

Pretty common really. Lots of folks put themselves on waiting lists with no real intention of buying sometimes or maybe just keep their options open.

I can concur on that and have witnesses it personally myself with the E60 M5. So many folks either are not serious, don't have the $, are not prepared for the out the door cost, buy something else, etc. I would not be at all suprised if folks are moving on up. I have not at the place I have my deposit in LA, was then and am now at #5. May be a bit irrelevant if DCT is delayed. I'd guess that could only move me up a bit but it is also looking like this "moving up" actually means waiting longer.

On a related note, have you guys seen the posts on the other thread regarding VIN#s and production assignments in Canada? Two members are saying they have been given production numbers for week 50. Something similar might happen in the US pretty soon, and then the waiting list situation will get even more real for some folks, and people might start dropping out.

I got on the list at #4 a month ago, and I assume that's where I'm still at.

Well you can't move down the list so I guess it's fair to say everyone is at least moving up.
